About
The Balipara Foundation rang in its 12th birthday on the 4th of July, 2019, in ambitious style alongside the communities and local partners we rely on to make our habitat restoration efforts a success. We set a challenge for ourselves: plant over 300,000 trees in half an hour.
Bringing 47,500 people across 78 villages and supported by MASK, the Assam Investment Advisory Society, 134 Ecological Task Force, the Forest department and Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, we planted over 280,000 trees in less than 30 minutes.
Since then, the Balipara Foundation has regularly been conducting workshops with these communities, engaging with them on environmental issues, critical care for these saplings and nurturing healing relationships with nature.
