GIS Workshop at EHBA
On 9th of April, 2017, a workshop on GIS was conducted by Dr. Smarajit Ojha, Professor of Nagaon
Girls College, Assam at EHBA. Members of Balipara Foundation and Wild Mahseer participated in the workshop.
Dr. Ojha introduced the concept and taught the basics of GIS to the team along with the basics of practical
knowledge. He showed how to take GPS points on field and to create maps using those GPS points. He also
showed how to mark points and to spot an area on a map using the software QGIS. The team participated with
great interest which will going to help them to implement in their projects and study.
