Nature Is Speaking - Voiced by Julia Roberts
Us humans really are a peculiar lot. Deluded into believing we are anything more than insignificant specks in the scheme of the vast and spectacular universe, there isn't any extent we haven't breached in our attempt to inhabit and, ultimately, destroy Mother Earth.
If the recent spate of natural disasters is anything to go by, Mother Nature is furious. As she should be. But the earth has been around longer than you and I have, longer than our ancestors, longer than most life forms (some of which have ceased to exist), and will continue to outlast each and every one of us. Which is why one must stop to think of our grave impact on our environment, if not for its sake, then our own.
This powerful and mesmerising video by Conservation.org, voiced over by none other than Julia Roberts, ought to serve as a wake up call for each and every one of us. Earthquakes, eruptions, tsunamis, floods, forest fires, hurricanes - these don't demand a reaction, they demand being proactive, they demand foresight, care and respect. But, perhaps, it will be much too late before man realises the folly of his ways.
Let these visuals and words resound in your conscience, as it reminds you that Earth is prepared to evolve (as she will), and will either consume you or let you thrive - depending on your actions each day.
