Balipara Track & Frontier Foundation - A foundation that works for bio-diversity

For many tourists, Assam is all about tea gardens and jungles. But while exploring rules of the wild, most miss out the Georgian bungalows built by British.

Balipara Tract and Frontier Foundation along with Wildlife Conservation Trust and the founders and management of Wild Grass supported by Assam Forest Department on December 4, donated 700 sets of winter apparel among the staff of Kaziranga national Park.

Trees act as natural carbon dioxide sinks and hence help in “carbon sequestration”.

They absorb carbon and store them till they die and decay.

Kyoto Protocol allows their use as a form of carbon offset.
