Robbie Hart, Missouri Botanical Garden, USA
Robbie Hart is an Assistant Curator at the Missouri Botanical Garden, where he studies high elevation ethnobotany and climate change ecology in the Willam L. Brown Center. The William L. Brown Center is dedicated to the study of useful plants, understanding the relationships between humans, plants, and their environment, the conservation of plant species, and the preservation of traditional knowledge for the benefit of future generations. At the WLBC, Robbie leads programs in high elevation plant ecology, climate change, and ethnobotany, with emphasis on building research around a subnetwork of plots within the Global Observation Research Initiative in Alpine Environments (GLORIA) network. This subnetwork incorporates sites and collaborators in Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and China, and monitors dynamics of and connections between vegetation, climate and ethnobotanical practice.
