Priyanka Bista, KTK - BELT, Nepal
Priyanka is the Design Director and Co-Founder of the KTK-BELT Project, where she primarily oversees the architecture, planning and capacity building areas of the project. She holds post-graduate degrees in Architectural Regeneration and Shelter after Disaster and also a Bachelors in Architectural Science. Prior to initiating KTK-BELT project, she was working in informal settlements of Port Harcourt, Nigeria leading the mapping and planning components of the Human City Project implemented in collaboration with UN-Habitat, Cities Alliance, NLE, and CMAP. Prior to this, she worked with Diamond and Schmitt Architects, a renowned firm in Toronto, Canada, for three years. Most notably, she contributed to the design of the Centre for Green Cities in the Don Valley Brickworks Revitalization project, National Arts Centre, Ottawa and the Regent Park Redevelopment project in Toronto. Her extended research and architectural experiences include Spain, Haiti, Israel, and India.
