Ganga Limbu, KTK - BELT

Ganga Limbu, a 22-year-old youth, is the first BELT Youth Fellow working in the areas of participatory mapping, social research, and environmental education. She holds a Bachelors in Education and two years' technical experience at KTK-BELT. Born in a large family and originally from Mukten village, during her fellowship period, she learned how to use various computer softwares programs including Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Premiere Pro, and GIS. She is currently coordinating KTK-BELT's Indigenous Knowledge Portal (IKP) project which seeks to document indigenous knowledge about native fauna and flora by creating short clips about hundreds of species in the region. Ganga has been trained in narrative story telling, video production and editing by several of Nepal's renown photographers and filmmakers.
